Sandringham High School has launched a revitalisation campaign set to redefine its future—powered by its Alumni Association, community members, staff, and a network of passionate partners including CAP and the Cap Green Team.

The inaugural initiative took place on Sunday, 25 May, with over 60 bags of litter and debris cleared from the school perimeter. Volunteers, learners, educators, and alumni worked side-by-side to remove excessive foliage, restore visibility and safety around the grounds, and reignite pride in the school’s environment.

“This is just the beginning. What we’re doing here is rebuilding a legacy—and doing it together, shoulder to shoulder,” said Robyn Cohen, spokesperson for the Sandringham Alumni Association.

The clean-up marks the first of many collaborative efforts between Sandringham High and its new ecosystem of support partners, which now includes CAP, the Cap Green Team, and EduSafe. The focus is not only on beautifying the school but also on restoring infrastructure, improving learner wellbeing, and fostering a culture of excellence.

“We are seeing a new wave of energy. The alumni are back, the partners are on board, and we’re ready to start a transformation journey the school deserves,” added Cohen.

While Sunday’s event was visibly impactful, the true momentum begins 1 June 2025, when a series of strategic projects will officially launch—ranging from facility upgrades to skills programmes and academic support. Stakeholders are encouraged to stay tuned, as these developments aim to turn Sandringham High into a benchmark for alumni-led school upliftment across South Africa.
