Sandringham High School proudly acknowledges the invaluable role that OLICO continues to play in shaping the academic success of our learners — particularly in the field of mathematics. As a non-profit organisation with a mission to make maths make sense, OLICO has become a trusted and integral partner in our learners’ academic journey.
Through its High School Programme, OLICO provides free, high-impact after-school maths tutoring to Sandringham learners from Grades 8 to 12. By combining skilled tutors with innovative technology, the programme is designed to help learners close foundational gaps, build confidence, and achieve long-term success in mathematics.

“Their programme doesn’t just tutor — it transforms mindsets. The consistent performance of their matriculants speaks for itself, and we are grateful for the energy and belief they bring to our school.”
Learners enrolled in the OLICO programme attend at least two after-school sessions per week, receiving individualised support in a small-group environment. The programme begins in Grades 8 and 9, continuing through to matric, with each learner gaining years of consistent guidance. Enrolment is free and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with learners required to maintain regular attendance in order to remain in the programme.
In addition to academic tutoring, OLICO has also made a tangible difference to the school’s infrastructure. In 2021, the organisation undertook the refurbishment of both the school library and computer lab, creating safe, resource-rich environments for learning and engagement.
The results speak volumes. In the most recent cohort, OLICO’s matric learners achieved a 97% pass rate, with a 95% pass rate in pure mathematics and an 82% bachelor-level pass rate — placing them in the top 25% of maths performers nationally.
